Barmera Primary School

Barmera Primary School is located in the Riverland, 220km from Adelaide. The school, located on attractive grounds of approximately nine hectares has a large oval and shady play areas, tennis courts and a well-equipped gym. The school community consists mainly of fruit growers, people in small business and those associated with the tourism industry. Our mission, 'Learning unlimited' and values of respect, friendship, feeling safe, positive social skills and continuous learning, underpin all that we do. The majority of students from non-English speaking backgrounds are of Greek descent.

Special curriculum offerings include instrumental music (flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, guitar), choir, digital technology education, volunteer supported reading program, intensive literacy support. Participation in sporting activities is encouraged and is strong. Our out-of-hours care programs (including vacation care) are well attended.
